Reiki
Reiki is an ancient healing art, which channels universal life energy (“Ki”) through the hands of a practitioner to the body and energy fields of the receiver. Reiki is a Japanese word= “Rei” means “universal life energy,” and “ki” means that energy which flows through everything alive; it is our vital life force. It is known to the Chinese as “chi,” to the Hindus as “prana,” and to the Christians as “light.”
Reiki can be used alone, or in support of other medical treatments such as massage, foot reflexology, acupressure, acupuncture, chiropractic treatments, psychotherapy and Western medicine. There is no conflict with combining Reiki with any other treatment; it can only help. Reiki serves to balance the inner vital life force, the “ki,” of the receiver. There are seven chakras that concentrate the ki, and are the focus of treatment, though Reiki works anywhere on the body and anywhere that ki is present.
Reiki works on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, and works to bring all energies into balance. Reiki promotes selfhealing by opening energy blocks, balancing the chakras and building overall inner health and well-being.
There is nothing that Reiki cannot help Reiki sessions can be conducted in person, or at a distance. It works equally well in either mode.
